I suffered from anxiety since I was 17. My panic attacks became so severe that I’ve had to go to the emergency department as the amount of hyperventilation I was having caused my whole body to stiff and unable to move, along with other symptoms such as sharp chest pains, lightheadedness, nearing loss of consciousness and more. As my anxiety became worse, I also developed derealisation and depersonalisation which is the persistent feeling that I was detached from reality or the sense that my surroundings weren’t real. This occurred daily. I felt isolated, exhausted and oppressed by fear. One Sunday morning on 3 July 2022, I had a severe panic attack episode once again whilst I was dining at a breakfast cafe. Although exhausted and disoriented for the rest of the day, I felt that I needed to attend the afternoon service at Dream Centre church. During the service the pastors called those who suffered from anxiety to come up to the alter and receive prayer for healing. I instantly felt that I needed to go up. As I stood at the alter, Pastor John along with a few others prayed over me. I felt God’s unconditional love wash over me and such great relief that I started to weep. I always knew that God never left me and He was fighting on my behalf in this battle, but on that afternoon, I walked out of the church service feeling freedom in my spirit that I haven’t felt since I was 17. Ever since that day, I have been free from severe panic attacks and anxiety! I witnessed God mightily using Pastor John and those at Dream Centre church in my deliverance. I will praise God forever for capturing me at my darkest point and setting me free from the bondage of anxiety!
